# How to Split a Webinar Q&A into Answer Clips

Create one video file for each audience question and complete answer while removing unrelated waiting time between them.

## Make the question list from the recording

List the questions in source order with rough timestamps. Use the wording people will recognize later: setup cost, migration time, access for contractors, and cancellation policy. Each question becomes one planned range.

Separate a long follow-up when it answers a different task. Keep it with the first answer when the follow-up only clarifies the same point.

## Start before the audience question

Include the full question unless it contains private information or repeated event logistics. Begin before the moderator states the question so the first word is not clipped. End after the speaker completes the answer.

Keep a pause when it marks a thoughtful change in the answer. Remove long waits for an unmute or screen change when the gap contributes nothing to the final file.

## Review names and permissions

Name files by subject, such as webinar-access-for-contractors. Decide whether the questioner's name belongs in the clip. Consent and event policy may require removing or avoiding participant identification.

Watch for attendee lists, chat messages, poll results, or private screens around each answer. VideoMultiCut cannot blur those details. Use a full editor or leave that clip unpublished when redaction is required.

## Export clips for the place they will live

Use individual downloads for a help center where each answer has its own page. Use a ZIP when handing the set to a colleague. Extract the archive before uploading the separate videos.

The editor does not generate captions, transcripts, thumbnails, or a searchable Q&A index. Prepare those assets separately, then open one exported answer in the destination player before processing the full set.
