# CapCut Alternative for Separate Video Clips

Use a browser workflow when CapCut separate-clip export is unavailable and you need selected parts of one source video as individual files.

## Start from a video file you can open

If you need each cut as its own file, open the source video in VideoMultiCut, mark every range you want, name the ranges, and export them separately or in one ZIP. This works well when a desktop editor has made separate-clip export hard to find or when you do not want to rebuild a timeline for every download.

VideoMultiCut does not open a CapCut project. It cannot recover layers, effects, captions, speed changes, or transitions from that project. Use the original source video, or export a clean video from CapCut first when your selections depend on edits already made there.

## Turn cut points into a file list

Write the clips in source order before you start. A short-form set might be hook, first example, second example, and closing answer. Add each range to the same VideoMultiCut session and replace the default names with labels you will recognize after download.

For example, mark 00:12 to 00:28 as opening-question and 03:41 to 04:07 as worked-example. The ranges can have gaps and can overlap. Each export contains only its selected range, so an overlap is useful when two clips need the same opening sentence.

## Check one downloaded clip first

Preview checks the selection inside the page. Export one clip and open the downloaded file before starting the batch. Listen for a clipped first word, watch the final movement, and confirm that picture and sound play in the app where you plan to use the clip.

Extend Start or End when the clip needs more context. If the first download succeeds, export the remaining clips one by one or choose Export all ZIP. The ZIP keeps the clips as separate files and numbers them in source order.

## Know what this workflow leaves out

This workflow is for extracting ranges from one local video. It does not reproduce a multi-track edit, create a montage, add captions, or convert horizontal footage to a vertical layout. Use a full editor when the output needs those changes.

CapCut features can differ by platform, account, and release. Check your current version before assuming a control is gone. If your only job is saving several moments from one file, you can open that file in VideoMultiCut and make the first named range now.
